A Little Home Project

Back before I was even pregnant with Isaac (6 years old), my sister and I went to a garage sale and she bought a dresser. She didn't have any room for the dresser- it was for "the future"- so she kept it at our house in the catch-all room. Well, shortly after that I got pregnant with Isaac and now the catch all room was going to become the nursery. I didn't like the color of the dresser and had every intention of repainting it to match the nursery. This never happened. Heck, the only reason the nursery got finished being painted was because my sister did it while I was in the hospital having Isaac.

Fast forward down the road 6 years and the dresser is still an ugly shade of maroon/red only now Baxter (2 years) is using it. This July, my in-laws brought us a dresser that matched the one Isaac now uses (since the boys share a room), so I decided to finally redo this dresser and turn it into our "hutch" for the dining room. The series of pictures below is how the project went!

The ugly "before"- I had already started sanding the top drawer

Of course I had little helpers- please notice L's tongue sticking out...

Such a hard worker!

The killer knobs I got at Home Goods- 4 pulls for $7.99- way better than $7.99 each!

The magic products!

This is my husband. He is not handy.
But he's handsome- so that's got to count for something.

This is the man who makes the magic happen- Dad, Papa, Randy. He'll answer to all.
Please excuse my half naked child...

And the finished product! I'm in love!
Not in love with the decorations on top, but that will come.
