Disneyland!

We decided almost two years ago that when our kids turned 6 we would take them to Disneyland, just them and us. We figured with 100 kids, taking them one at a time would make it significantly more affordable. Isaac's turn to go was this year, so on July 25th we headed down to Anaheim for a weekend at the happiest place on earth! We kept it a secret and tried to get Isaac's initial response when he found out where we were going, but due to an overfull phone, I was unable to record it- oh well! We got to see it!

Because Isaac is a big Star Wars fan, we went to Star Tours first- he was so excited! From there it was one ride after the other! The favorites were Buzz Lightyear Astro Blaster, Pirates of the Caribbean, Radiator Springs Racer (poor Aaron didn't get to go on this one), and Grizzly River Run (I didn't get to do that one). I think he was a bit overwhelmed, okay, he was a lot overwhelmed and nervous about trying anything new. A couple times we had to INSIST that we were going to go on ride X and that we promised he would like it.

The highlight of the trip- especially for Isaac was that he got picked to be part of the Jedi Training. He was so cute in the robe with the light saber and he fought a good fight against Darth Maul. I'm not going to lie, I was secretly hoping he would pick the Dark Side since he does like the "bad guys", but no luck.

We spent three fun-filled days between Disneyland and California Adventure! Aaron and I can't wait for Lorelai to turn 6 so we can go again...or maybe we'll decide to go for our anniversary next summer. We shall see!

Isaac had a hard time figuring out the turnstiles- haha!

Yay! I'm at Disneyland!!

My little Jedi

He was so excited!

Just chillin' with a storm trooper or clone or I'm not really sure what...

Isaac loved the beignets!

Being exhausted contributed to him enjoying the parade.
