New Town, New Doctors, Lots of Appointments

We headed to CA on July 10th and had my first OB appointment at a strange doctors off on Friday, July 13th. I remember walking into the office and cringing. I was used to going into my midwifes house, up to the cozy room, laying on the real bed, my kids playing next to me helping to measure my tummy. When we got into the exam room I cried and said to Aaron, “I hate this. It’s gross and dirty.” The doctor wasn’t much better. Her personality was abrupt and condescending when she found out we hadn’t seen a genetic counselor or had any other testing done. Needless to say, we left there with appointments scheduled out the wazoo. Twice a week Non-Stress tests till the end of my pregnancy (6 weeks), a level two ultrasound the next week, an appointment to have a fetal echocardiogram done, and a meeting with the surgeon at Children’s hospital. It felt like an endless list of appointments, and it was.
